Luis Sanchez Guarnizo
Mr. Sánchez is 34 years old, married and the father of one son. He owns and operates this farm as his family's sole sustenance.
Cariamanga is a small tourist and cultural city in the southern part the Loja province located in the southern hemisphere in the Torrid Zone between 4º 9´ and 4º 33´ south latitude; and 79º 25´ and 79º 54´ west longitude.
Mr. Sánchez’s farm is located in “El Parco”, 45 minutes from Cariamanga at 1,900 meters altitude above sea level, with an optimal coffee cultivation average temperature of 20 degrees Celsius.
This is a 23 hectare farm, 5 hectares dedicated to coffee cultivation from the Typical, Caturra, Bourbon and Pacas varieties and have recently seeded 2.5 hectares with Pacas coffee. The natural humidity benefits the post-harvest process and shadow is provided by the growth of native fruit trees such as: banana, guava and porotillo. They also raise hens and pigs.
Its coffee production is of 8 QQ by hectare, the same that is sold to the stock center of Cafecom in Cariamanga.
